Heather Smith

Biographie

Heather Smith is an Associate Professor in International Studies at the University of Northern B.C. Since her appointment at UNBC she has been Chair of International Studies (2001-2001), Acting Dean of Teaching, Learning and Technology (2007) and Acting Director of the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (2007-008). She is a 3M National Teaching Fellow and a UNBC Teaching Excellence Award winner. Actively involved in her discipline she has been President of ISA Canada, a member of the Canadian Political Science Association Board of Directors, a member of the editorial board of Canadian Foriegn Policy, as well as active in the American Association of Canadian Studies.

Her primary area of research include gender and Canadian foreign policy, climate change and foreign policy and most recently, indigenous perspectives on climate change.
