Denis Rey is associate professor of government and world affairs at The University of Tampa. His research interests include political institutions, comparative public and foreign policy, US-Cuba relations, and politics in Latin America ; and has published his work in such journals as Global Environmental Politics, Commonwealth, Journal of Information Technology and Politics, and Social Science Quarterly. He is currently working on a book-length manuscript that focuses on how political institutions influence a wide array of public policies in Latin American. Rey earned his PhD in political science from Texas Tech University and MA in international relations from St. Mary’s University. He and his wife, Patricia, reside in Sarasota, Florida, with their three children.
