CETA innovates in many ways. The most significant innovation is that it deals with international regulatory cooperation and puts in place institutional mechanisms combining dialogue and trade obligations with regard to regulatory and governance issues. It also creates a civil society forum involved in the implementation process of chapters dealing with sustainable development, labor and the environment.
