&lt;p&gt;La conf&#233;rence &lt;strong&gt;What's Next for Global Labour : Power Dynamics and Industrial Relations Systems in a Hyperglobalized World&lt;/strong&gt; pr&#233;sent&#233;e par le CEIM se tiendra le &lt;strong&gt;lundi 17 d&#233;cembre &#224; 11h&lt;/strong&gt; au &lt;strong&gt;A-1715&lt;/strong&gt;, Pavillon Hubert-Aquin, UQAM.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;R&#233;sum&#233;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This conference looks at four interconnected issues that impact directly on the fragility of bottom up policy spaces for the future of work and employment : labour-shedding technologies ; new employment practices ; the geo-economic redistribution of power ; and the fragmentation of the multilateral trading system. Importantly it examines the collapse of the Anglo-American Keynesian model of industrial relations that was predicated on a bottom up policy space to protect wage and salaried workers' social and economic rights for Canada and the US. Surprisingly, despite North American market integration, the Canadian and American models are highly divergent. Thus the enormous transformations of capitalism have seen decisive shifts in state-market relations with the emergence of industrial relations systems. It concludes that more turbulent change is underway and that the Anglo-American model of industrial relations cannot be exported to China or other countries though some fascinating points of convergence are visible.&lt;/p&gt;

		&lt;div class='rss_texte'&gt;&lt;p&gt;Depuis 2006, le Colloque New Voices in Labour Studies a permis &#224; la nouvelle recherche sur le travail et le syndicalisme de disposer d'un forum unique en son genre. Espace de pr&#233;sentation des travaux les plus r&#233;cents mais aussi de discussion et d'&#233;change entre chercheurs issus de domaines vari&#233;s, il contribue au d&#233;veloppement de la rel&#232;ve acad&#233;mique en &#233;tudes critiques sur le travail et le syndicalisme. Il est &#233;galement largement ouvert aux chercheurs impliqu&#233;s &#224; l'ext&#233;rieur de l'universit&#233; ainsi qu'aux militants.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;En 2012, le colloque prend un virage important. Pour la premi&#232;re fois de son histoire, il sera organis&#233; au Qu&#233;bec et sera int&#233;gralement bilingue. Pouvant compter sur un comit&#233; d'organisation issu des quatre universit&#233;s montr&#233;alaises, le colloque Travail &amp; syndicalisme : les nouvelles voix de la recherche sera un rendez-vous incontournable pour toutes celles et ceux s'int&#233;ressant aux d&#233;fis pos&#233;s aux travailleurs et &#224; leurs organisations.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;La conf&#233;rence porte sur la construction et l'utilisation des indices dans le processus d'&#233;valuation des impacts sur les conditions de travail suite &#224; des ententes commerciales. Suite &#224; un examen des conditions objectives dans la construction des indices, un regard est pos&#233; sur l'indice Kucera afin d'en &#233;valuer ses forces et faiblesses notamment d'un point de vue m&#233;thodologique. Des propositions, portant &#224; la fois sur une bonification de l'indice lui-m&#234;me ainsi que sur son utilisation par le biais d'une mod&#233;lisation font l'objet d'une r&#233;flexion dans l'optique d'un plan de recherche &#224; venir.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Cette pr&#233;sentation portera sur les rapports Nord-Sud au sein des organisations syndicales internationales (OSI) dans les Am&#233;riques. Les OSI sont la partie la plus visible et la plus institutionnalis&#233;e de l'internationalisme syndical contemporain, et constituent &#224; ce titre un objet de recherche privil&#233;gi&#233; pour qui s'int&#233;resse &#224; la dimension internationale du mouvement ouvrier. La fin de la guerre froide et l'av&#232;nement de la mondialisation n&#233;olib&#233;rale posent des d&#233;fis importants aux OSI. Nous nous penchons ici plus particuli&#232;rement sur les rapports Nord-Sud au sein des OSI dans les Am&#233;riques, en nous demandant si ceux-ci sont devenus plus &#233;galitaires depuis le d&#233;but des ann&#233;es 1990. Nous avan&#231;ons que si certains pays du Sud, en particulier le Br&#233;sil, exercent une plus grande influence sur les OSI, d'autres, tel le Mexique, en sont de plus en plus isol&#233;s.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class=&#034;spip-puce ltr&#034;&gt;&lt;b&gt;&#8211;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;strong&gt;Yanick Noiseux&lt;/strong&gt;, chercheur post-doctoral au Tata Institute of Social Science (Mumbai) et membre associ&#233; du CEIM&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;i&gt;Travail atypique et syndicalisme au Qu&#233;bec : une sociologie des &#233;mergences&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dans un contexte de transformation du travail marqu&#233; par la prolif&#233;ration de l'emploi atypique, cette pr&#233;sentation tentera de faire le point sur les tentatives de renouvellement de la th&#233;orie et de la pratique syndicale au Qu&#233;bec. Les grandes centrales syndicales qu&#233;b&#233;coises ont-elles pris acte de l'obligation d'agir face aux transformations en cours ? Ont-elles modifi&#233; leurs pratiques afin de rejoindre et de r&#233;pondre aux besoins des travailleurs &#8212; surtout les jeunes et les femmes &#8212; projet&#233;s sur les march&#233;s p&#233;riph&#233;riques du travail ? En prenant appui sur un mat&#233;riel de recherche collig&#233; dans huit monographies de luttes men&#233;es par des travailleurs atypiques au Qu&#233;bec, la sociologie des &#233;mergences cherchera &#224; tracer un bilan de ces initiatives. Ultimement, il s'agira d'amorcer un &#171; travail de traduction &#187; entre les pratiques, strat&#233;gies et revendications port&#233;es par ces travailleurs atypiques de mani&#232;re &#224; adapter la th&#233;orie syndicale au nouveau contexte.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
